Therapeutic Drug Monitoring of Antifungal Agents

Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is the clinical practice of measuring drugs at designated intervals to maintain target blood concentrations and optimizing individual dosage regimens. Increasing evidence confirms that optimal drug exposure is critical in preventing and treating invasive fungal infections.

Presented by Professor Deborah Marriott, this module covers the advantages of TDM and why it should be applied whenever possible for more effective and safer antifungal regimens. Voriconazole and posaconazole pharmacokinetics and TDM in special populations are highlighted.
