Professor Kauser Jabeen is currently an Associate Professor at the Section of Microbiology, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Aga Khan University. Prior to her current appointment, she served as a Senior Instructor at the same institution.
Professor Jabeen obtained her MBBS degree from Dow Medical College in 1997. She then completed her FCPS Microbiology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in 2004.
Professor Jabeen is actively involved in several esteemed professional associations, including the Pakistan Association of Pathologists, Infectious Disease Society of Pakistan, Pakistan Antimicrobial Resistance Network, and the American Society of Microbiology.
Professor Jabeen specializes in medical microbiology, and her research interests lie in mycology, tuberculosis and antimicrobial resistance. She has written numerous peer-reviewed articles on the subjects, and has also received several awards, including the Research Growth Award by the Pakistan Council of Science and Technology (2013) and the Bukhari Medal, Best Oral Presentation in all Disciplines of Pathology by the Pakistan Association of Pathologists Conference (2011).
